Campus Christian Fellowship
Seeking to meet the spiritual needs, through Jesus Christ, of students at the University of Iowa

Who Can Be A Part Of This Group?
EVERYONE!
Those who are Christians and those who are not Christians but are interested in Christianity.
There is no charge nor "official" membership, just bring yourself.

Why Are We Here?
College is an exciting time, but it can also be a very difficult time. We believe that having Jesus in your life can make a huge difference in your college experience.
We want to provide Christians a place to come together and grow closer to Christ together. We also want to reach out to those who do not know Christ on this campus.

What We Do:
SUNDAY NIGHT ALIVE
For the first time ever we are having a worship service right on campus. Join us for this exciting, Biblical service with relevant teaching and upbeat worship times.
We meet on Sunday nights at 5:30pm in the Iowa Memorial Union usually in the Terrace Room (in the front lobby.)

HAWKEYE HUDDLE
Each week we have a mid-week fellowship time. We call it the Hawkeye Huddle because it is a great time to come together to strengthen one another and get a spiritual boost in the middle of the week.
We meet at the Danforth Chapel (by the Memorial Union) on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm for a time of teaching, praise and worship, prayer, and other surprises.
SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDIES
We offer various student led small group Bible studies around campus. These provide a great opportunity to dig into God's Word and to develop deeper relationships with other students.
For more information on these weekly activities
and the following special activities check our
schedule for the semester (updated 4-4-2000)
RETREATS
Each year we attend 2 or 3 retreats. These are great ways to get away from campus to have some fun, get to know each other better and students from other campuses, and most of all grow closer to God. See some pictures from last semesters fall retreat.
MISSIONS
We strongly believe in the importance of missions work. This upcoming spring break we will be going east to Chicago. In the summer of 1999 we took a group to Taiwan to help at an orphanage. Previous spring break trips include adventures to Mexico, Florida, and Arizona. What a great way to put your faith into action.
FRIDAY NIGHT FUN
We prove that Christians can have lots of fun with all kinds of fun activities such as hayrides, volleyball, pizza parties, bowling, movie and game nights, and many others.
INTRAMURAL SPORTS
Each year we participate in several intramural sports such as basketball, softball, and volleyball. They are good stress relievers.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
1999-2000 is just the fourth year here at Iowa for this exciting and growing group. Dan Toney, who worked for four years as a campus minister for CCF at Iowa State before coming here, is the campus minister. Dan was involved in campus ministry when he was in college and it changed his life. He believes in the importance of campus ministry with all of his heart.
This is his full time job and he is here to serve the students. He is joined by his wife Holly, son Caleb, and daughter Olivia.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
At CCF the Bible is our final guide and authority on matters of faith and doctrine. Viewing God’s Word as the authority, we welcome all students of various backgrounds and denominations to learn together, to fellowship together, and to grow together, upon the foundation of Jesus Christ and His Word.
